Teaching Philosophy

I love to teach.  Anyone you ask will tell you I have a love forkids.  The expression on their faces when they "get a Step" is priceless.  When I was a kid, my mother volunteered me at the school for the deaf and blind.  She said it would keep me grounded.  To this day, kids have a way of showing and expressing themselves through a form of art.  I like to help them better understand themselves through dance.  Its not about the trophies and metals.  Its about whats in their heart.  You have to help the children build confidence in themselves and their peers.
Their is something about walking into a studio for the first time and seeing the looks on the kids faces.  Some are nervous, some are excited.  But when I walk into that studio I go back to when I was in "their" shoes and become the teacher I always had and always wanted to be.  I have been told before, "I'm not sure who is more exciting to watch...you or the kids".  I become one of them!!

My Master classes are energetic, fun and a great learning experience.  I think all students need to be exposed to as many different styles as possible.  The kids learn a new style and have a blast while doing it!  The price varies depending on how many classes you want.  For more information, email me at Bethany@just4jazz.com
